I always love Trader Joe's floral section, and this time of year is especially bountiful. On my visit yesterday I was inspired to grab some St. John's wort and two types of eucalyptus, along with some apples, pears and pomegranates. Of course, colorful Fall fruit always looks great in a simple bowl, but I wanted to challenge myself to put together three centerpieces that combined Fall fruits and foliage.
I used a wooden dough bowl from the flea market as a base for this first arrangement.
In the second centerpiece, an assortment of white vases provide a great contrast to the reds and greens.
I loved lining up the pears like little soldiers in the narrow carved wooden trays for arrangement 3.
Tomorrow I think I'll go out and find some branches and leaves to play around with too. I am endlessly inspired by the Fall color palette!
